The nearest airport is in Chania and can be reached by car in around 60 minutes. In addition to the airport, Chania is also known for its beautiful old town and the Venetian port. The ferries to other islands or the mainland also dock there. Another airport in Heraklion is about 180 kilometers away, car rental companies are at the airport.

Pirgos Villa allows quick reach to the most beautiful beaches of Crete and Greece: the Lagune of Balos, the long sandy beach of Fallassarna and the red beaches of Elafonissi. A 1/2 hour car ride brings you to the antique town of Chania – apart from the flair of a lively Greek coast town, 3000 years of history embrace you with a mixture of Minoan, Roman, Byzantine, Venitian and Osmanic styles. Center piece is the pittoresk old harbour.
The town itself forms one of the most frequented tourist attractions in the Mediterranean – in a line with Marbella, Portofino or Valetta. In the mood of mountain climbing the white hills of Chania await you but the beautiful adjacent Samaria Gorge doesn’t stand behind as it is the longest in Europe. The Beach can be reached in 10 minutes by car and around 30 minutes on foot. In Kissamos and on the promenade you can choose between cafes, restaurants and bars.
